Bringing Stories To Life!
About Me
I am a qualified teacher with 11 years experience in an infant classroom, as well as having gained a degree in Musical Theatre from a top drama school. I have a cheeky, feisty 3 year old daughter and have recently moved to Rudgwick to enjoy the village life!
Storytelling has always been a huge part of my life, from a young age enjoying stories at bedtime, then later re-telling them through drama, movement and song. In the classroom I was passionate about bringing the magic of stories to life, creating new worlds, introducing drama and music and inspiring children to discuss and create their own stories!
Now I have a child of my own I have seen how integral stories and songs are in the development of language and imagination, however I couldn't find any Pre-School groups that had high quality stories at its heart, so I thought 'why not start my own?'
In January 2022 Happily Ever After was born and over the past year I have brought over 30 different stories to life for children across Surrey and West Sussex. I love combining music, drama and dance along side brilliantly written stories, to help children explore new language, concepts and develop greater musicality. This year I have introduced Happily Ever After Parties and I love helping to bring some magic and excitement to such a special day!
I am really excited to now be delivering my workshops to schools and nurseries in Surrey and West Sussex. Whether it is for Book Week, to help launch a topic or for a week of performing arts, there is nothing better than the buzz in a school and the joy that Pre-Schoolers show when they are living my stories.
