About Me

I am a qualified teacher with 11 years experience in an infant classroom, as well as having gained a degree in Musical Theatre from a top drama school. I have a cheeky, feisty 3 year old daughter and have recently moved to Rudgwick to enjoy the village life!

Storytelling has always been a huge part of my life, from a young age enjoying stories at bedtime, then later re-telling them through drama, movement and song. In the classroom I was passionate about bringing the magic of stories to life, creating new worlds, introducing drama and music and inspiring children to discuss and create their own stories!

Now I have a child of my own I have seen how integral stories and songs are in the development of language and imagination, however I couldn't find any Pre-School groups that had high quality stories at its heart, so I thought 'why not start my own?'

Each 45 min Happily Ever After session will focus on a different book and explore the characters through drama, movement and songs. There will be puppets, props and a whole lot of fun and we will even be making something that your little ones can take home to continue the story journey. For just £8 per session come along and join us for a new adventure every week! We can now offer Pay As You Go bookings for these classes at £10 per class.

If you require more flexibilty, be sure to check out our Paint a Story sessions at The Apple Tree Cafe. These sessions can be booked on a weekly basis and include a free drink for the adults and a snack for your child, as well as a chance to socialise with other parents of pre-school children. Please note Paint a Story sessions are aimed at children aged 2-4 years.

We are also now visiting schools and nurseries for storytelling classes or training sessions. For more information go to our Schools and Nurseries page or email me at sam.happilyeverafter@gmail.com.
